I ordered the whole WAVE-Series and at this point (read five of them, now beginning with the 6th book) the repetitions really start to get me in a bad mood. The books contain interesting things and insights, but it would not have been necessary to repeat everything ten times to make the point or convey meaning. Nor is the world interested in every little quarrel Laura had over the years. Meanwhile I switched to only skimming the pages because there are more and more things I already read more than once. Maybe an editor should have read and edited the books.
If there would be a legal basis I would demand my money back. The series equals at least one month of my rather small book budget. It is not fair to write one book and to then use 'copy&paste' to pretend that there are eight books, nine if you consider the fact that the same stuff appears in her "The secret History of the World" too.
Normally, I never sell books once I bought them but in this case I will make an exception to ease the financial pain that was caused by this bad buy/choice.
I do not even know if I can endure to read the remaining three books. Cheating on the reader in such an obvious way seems to be STS ... big time!
